To award the TRIZ Master's degree, the Board of Directors of AI will impanel a Qualification Commission (QC) consisting of a number of TRIZ Masters from AI or TRIZ Masters from other TRIZ organizations recommended by the President of AI and the Chairman of the Certification Board. TRIZ Masters, who supported a nominated candidate, have the right to be a member of QC and take part in voting for the candidate. See table in 2.6
2.2. The President of AI, with the title of TRIZ Master, chairs the QC. If the President of AI is not a TRIZ Master, he will appoint the Chairman of QC from the impaneled members of the QC.

AI TRIZ Certification
General Provisions
Pre-requisites: Annual or Lifetime membership
Objectives:
Certification of TRIZ was enacted by Genrikh Altshuller at the founding of the Altshuller Institute (AI). The objectives are:
The Altshuller Institute has realized that standardized certification is essential to promoting TRIZ.
Additionally, certification must be defined by a universal set of guidelines so that terms like "TRIZ Associate" and "TRIZ Specialist" have the same meaning regardless of where the TRIZ user was trained. Therefore, a non-profit and global organization, such as the Altshuller Institute, must spearhead this initiative. To this end, Victor Fey, the Institute's Certification Director, has begun to develop guidelines for certification.
