In memory of John LaCarrubba. 12 November 2019
The Altshuller Institute laments the loss of colleague and friend, John LaCarrubba, who died after a long struggle with serious illness on 12 November 2019.
John graduated from the New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering with a BS in Bioengineering. He was the Director of Solid Waste Management 1989-2000. He became the owner of Solide Waste Management until 2007 when Solid Waste Management was purchased by Enserv Northeast. He became the District Director of Business Development and Compliance. John became a TRIZ Practitioner in May 2017. Since joining AI, John was an active participant and was eager work on committees. John your presence will be missed by me and other members. God Bless !

He was the Director of Solid Waste Management 1989-2000. He became the owner of Solide Waste Management until 2007 when Solid Waste Management was purchased by Enserv Northeast. He became the District Director of Business Development and Compliance.
John was a member of AI since November 2016. He achieved the level of Practitioner in May of 2017. He was passionate about TRIZ and he enjoyed working with the TRIZ tools. John's wife, Katie, told me that even though John's health was not the best in the past years, his involment with TRIZ and AI were a positive and uplifting part of his life. TRIZ allowed John to forget about his health and suffering. His mind could go to another place where he could innovate and enjoy the distraction.
John, your passion and spirit will be missed at Altshuller Institute. I was my pleasure to have known you in the short time that you were a member, associate and a friend. I will miss you very much.
