      3. To promote research activities in the field of TRIZ and social recognition of the personal contribution of researchers in the development of TRIZ as an applied discipline and practical application of TRIZ.
    1. Issuance of TRIZ Master's degree to Specialists is intended to continue traditions laid down by G.S. Altshuller, taking into account the experience of AI, of International Council of TRIZ Masters and the International TRIZ Association Inc. (MATRIZ, USA).
    2. TRIZ Master's degree is conferred for research-related contributions to TRIZ development and the practical application of TRIZ. TRIZ Master's degree is conferred based on a defended dissertation or contributions to practice in the field of TRIZ

TRIZ Certification

The Altshuller Institute has realized that standardized certification is essential to promoting TRIZ.

  • First of all, certification adds interest to new TRIZ users because there is something tangible that they can achieve and there is room to progress.
  • Secondly, certification is essential to legitimize the methodology because it will become apparent that someone with more TRIZ training is able to solve problems more effectively and efficiently than someone with little or no TRIZ training.
  • Thirdly, companies require a simple means to evaluate how proficient a potential or current employee is in utilizing the TRIZ methodology.

Additionally, certification must be defined by a universal set of guidelines so that terms like "TRIZ Associate" and "TRIZ Specialist" have the same meaning regardless of where the TRIZ user was trained. Therefore, a non-profit and global organization, such as the Altshuller Institute, must spearhead this initiative. To this end, Victor Fey, the Institute's Certification Director, has begun to develop guidelines for certification.
